I did go on to make a lot of money from that shop, mainly from bonuses and free half points.

Gotta say too, they always treated me very respectfully. Last time someone from there called me trying to drum up a deposit I said no thanks, I'm not going to be playing offshore any more. (Not totally true but anyway.)

Can't remember if that was Jon or Nick but they just said, "Okay well we won't call you any more then but give us a call if you change your mind."

And they never did call again.

Morally right? Hmmmm. Advertising and endorsements are part of our society. It is not something I admire or respect but is it actually immoral?

Push comes to shove, I'll say yes. My definition of shilling is not just endorsing but actually misrepresenting. It's crappy, it's sleazy - and somewhat immoral, yes.

He said on the phone that he was disappointed with the way things were going with Phoenix payouts. He said he didn't see them ever going stiff but he just didn't like how their way of doing things was dirtying up his name.

Some of the stuff he said about Bet Islands made me nervous. Sounds like they want to offer a lot of good stuff in the way of bonuses and free half points. In some ways that's great of course but in some ways you figure they can't survive. Classic mixed feelings scenario.
