I can't believe Bama SOS is that high. From the SEC east they didn't play SC, UGA, or UF.

That's why I don't understand how the SOS works.

Basically they rank all the FBS teams. I believe Sangarin takes the rankings one step further and takes the teams on your schedule and who those teams played. It makes little sense as Georgia missed the biggies in the SEC West also.

Florida will be ranked 4th tonight. Deserving or not that's where they will fall.

If and it's a HUGE if, Florida beats FSU, IF and it's looking like a HUGE if, USC beats Notre Dame, then regardless who who wins the SEC Title game the loser will fall below Florida who will essentially move up to 2nd.

Look, I don't see any of that happening but if those strange circumstances come about then that is what you will have.

Weird isn't it! Team doesn't even win their division let alone conference championship but still possibly could be national champion! Heard couple guys on radio last night discussing with way 2012 has progressed that possibly 8 team playoff is better than 4? The 4 team one at least will be a step in the right direction!
