Baseball thread for the year

I am going to keep my baseball picks in this thread. I am glad NBA and NHL are both winding down for the season as I am excited to concentrate on fewer sports.

I am really busy with work and been on the road alot so I don't have much time today for write ups, hopefully it slows down over the next month.

I had an atrocious french open and barely broke even in the ncaa tourney and nba and nhl playoffs, not worth the time I spent on it. Going to be conservative the rest of the baseball year until football starts. All plays 1 unit unless listed otherwise

Thanks guys. I have just been busy and neglected this thread, going to start getting into series wagers in baseball. I love the dodgers in this series with Billingsley, Kershaw and Lilly on the mound facing the likes of Lincecum and Vogelsong in this series. The Dodgers have been phenomenal at home this year and even to end last year, best home numbers in baseball.

Rogue thats Rodney bay in St lucia. Beautiful marina, pretty average casinos like most casinos in the caribbean there but Rodney bay is alot of fun

Phillies -1 -131 risk 2.62

Cardinals -118 risk 1.18

They held the T20 Cricket World Cup there in 2010, I wanted to go so bad.

I agree rogue, west indies and the caribbean seems like the perfect place to watch cricket. The next one is in sri lanka. Its a shame about the stanford cricket series. That really was quite an event for the players and their wives. LOL. Stanford did put on one hell of a show

I have some serious updating of the record here.I have always loved going to Rangers game when I get to arlington but the omoves off season were horrible for the Rangers. Losing Young is worse than Hamilton in my opinion, I am just glad my dad has National tickets. Norris finished the season with a 7-13 mark, pretty respectable ERA and whip numbers though. A.J. Pierzynski and Lance Berkman should be interesting to watch but overall Texas really made some poor moves offseason. Rangers give Soria a two-year, $8 million deal and he didnt pitch all last year and wont be back until May? 8 figures for Lance Berkman who had two surgeries on his right knee last year, and played in just 32 games with the Cardinals.

Houston with baseball's lowest payroll, first-year manager, playing in the tough AL west, they should rack up another 100 loss season but I wouldn't be surprised to see Texas end up behind the Angels and the As this year in the west. There is talk about Ryan ending up in Houston.

Rangers are a mess but they are still facing the Astros here. Harrison went 18-11 in 2012, great whip numbers, 3.29 ERA. He was pretty solid last year on the road and Texas has dominated this series and Astros look to be the first to lose at least 106 games in three straight seasons since the expansion Mets did it from 1962-65.

Rangers -155 risk 1.55

Thanks Mr. M.

Texas is going to have some major trouble with the Angels and even the A's in the AL West this year. What do you think about the Phillies tomorrow? Hudson has been so profitable over the years and the David Ferrer of baseball in my opinion, one of the best competitors out there and very profitable to wager on.The Braves added Justin Upton and B.J. Upton, Atlanta has had some problems scoring runs.

I like the fact the Phillies added Michael Young. Texas :ouch:

He had one bad year, look at the moves the Rangers made, what were the Rangers thinking in the off season?
