The HOF vote announcement is tomorrow. I am sure there are props somewhere out there for the results, I haven't really looked. Just made a bet with my friend that Clemens gets less than 50%. Has anyone seen props along lines of what percentage of the vote certain players will get?

I feel no one will get in. I feel Bonds and Clemens should get in, despite the steroid issues, they both dominated their era for a period of time. I feel Schilling is a HOFer if you factor in his postseason success, and the fact he was part of of 2 of the greatest Octobers ever, 2001 and 2004.

They did something interesting on "Prime Time Sports" a little while back. One of the guys - I believe it was Dave Perkins - filled out his HOF ballot right on the show.

He voted for both Clemens and Bonds.

So all you need to do is track down the info on all the other voters and you got a surething wager.

I am okay with no one being inducted. In fact I would like to see more of that with other Halls of Fame. I really feel like these things should be more selective.

However this particular circumstance with Bonds and Clemens who so obviously have undeniable numbers - it just feels like a form of arbitrary judgmentalism by a bunch of impotent boobs with control issues.

Like I myself don't like guys doing steroids - but the situation is so complex.

Well I dunno. I guess there are two possibilities for the nay voters.

1) They are making some kind of statement based on self-righteous indignation re the purity of the game yada yada. I personally laugh at that notion.

2) They are just having fun because Bonds and Clemens are dicks and they are basically saying NO SOUP FOR YOU! HAHA! BITE MY ASS D-BAGS!

I am on board with that. :handshake:

Barry Bonds 73
2001
Mark McGwire 70
1998
Sammy Sosa 66
1998
Mark McGuire 65
1999
Sammy Sosa 64
2001
Sammy Sosa 63
1999
Roger Maris 61
1961
Babe Ruth 60
1927

This is the record that really pisses me off bout the steroid guys! It took 34 years for somebody to duplicate 60 HRs and then all at once it happens 6 times in 3 years! Twice 70 no less! Bud Selig too smart of a guy not to know this wasn't right! Was riveting for the fans though and that means more $$$ for MLB!

Vividly remember in 1998 when son was 13 and all day-in-day-out in my ear bout this is unreal! He say Babe Ruth who? I told him no way this can be happening and I told him I think MLB is rubber banding the balls extra tight which would make them go further! Like the commercial, "chicks love the long ball"!

Never in my wildest imagination thinking they were doing a drug to enhance their performance! Blew my mind but any long time baseball follower knew something was very strange with the sacred HR record being torched so easily!

Loathe Bonds and Clemens and probably will get in but hope their like 90 before they get in!

I hear where to get in the HoF a lot has to due with being a dominant player during his time! The guy below was just that but not enough numbers I guess to get in but what if he took some of those drugs maybe .........

There was a great interview on Chicago sports radio today with one of the voters (voted for none of the roid players). Made a good point saying they have 15 years to elect them, more evidence is needed to form an opinion. Outside of them, the best candidates are borderline HOFers. I would be more concerned about the ass who voted for Aaron Sele.
