Why can't bananas be more like apples? I buy apples and set them down and a week later they have barely changed.

New snack that I live is a non-ripe banana with a heaping tablespoon of almond butter.

I would like to just buy 2 or 3 bananas at a time, but I like to eat one a day and I only make 2 trips to the banana store per week so the math doesn't work out. I could make more trips to the store but it seems like a pretty radical change in my lifestyle just for bananas.

I should not be working for the bananas. The bananas should be working for me.

So I try to practice the ancient art of banana projection.

But all too often I end up - as I am right now - with one banana that is already a bit mooshy and spotty - and I have already had a banana today so it should really be tomorrow's banana at which point it will be even more . . .

Buy organic bananas. They don't put that ripening chemical that makes them bad in two days so you can buy more bananas.
