Just a couple questions Coug. When you placed the pork on top of the onions, did you also add any water or some sort of stock to the slow cooker? I assumed you cooked on low heat for 8 hours, but in the end when you mixed it all together, you cooked it for another 30 mins. I am assuming you cooked this for 30 mins on low as well. Also how much ginger did you use?

I've only used a slow cooker once in my life (just bought one last weekend) so I am new to this.

3 part series...I mean was it really necessary??

Yeah when I do the last 30 min I usually add a bit of olive oil to keep it moist-that and the bbq sauce should do the trick. What you're looking for is a thick coagulating mix-at least that's what I prefer-not a real runny consistency. I'll be honest, mine didn't taste great until like the 3rd or 4th time I did it. It's pretty easy for the most part but you'll add touches here or there to make it your own.
