I used to be...back when I was a W-2 er of course I had to be. I don't know if it is the weather, my diet, or my Wellbutrin failing me, but lately can't really get going unless I have to until after at least 10 am...and that might be on a good day. Until the last month or 2, I was drinking a lot of sugar free RB and/or coffee in the morning, but was told to cut down on that due to anxiety.

I have heard to drink a glass of water upon waking. I have also heard to eat an apple first thing. I should probably take that multi vitamin more regularly too.

If anyone has any tricks to get goin' in the morning let me know. If I HAVE to be somewhere (usually for mom) in the morning, I can rise to the occasion, but otherwise it really takes a lot lately to get me moving. And I have been working out 4-5x a week for the last month so I don't think lack of exercise is it. I have also been getting sufficient sleep. Doctor ran blood work and nothing appears askew.

What time do you guys wake up?

Oh and any of the gym people in here. I am starting real "training" tomorrow (the other was more of an introductory kind of deal for 4 weeks) I will be concentrating on the resistance/weight machines. Do you suggest doing my cardio workout before or after this 1/2 hour with the trainer?

TIA

Have to start at 8 sharp M-F or I am failing. Morning person as far as doing but start to not want to murder myself and everything around me probably around 11.

Chit Matty you are in deep pal.

Big on coffee, fruit and a bread product here IAG. I guess the water thing happens too never thought of it as a thing but that's cool. Anxiety like a motherfucker as well.

Takes me a good 2 hours to look, feel and act like something vaguely human.

Rarely get up before 8.

Can't wait to have that baby. :wah:
Matty do you work from home? I'm glad to know I'm not alone. I used to get up right at 8 but now it's been getting closer to 8:15-8:30..once and a while even 9. I got up at 6-6:30 for 20 years this just seems so weird to me.

Ok, I'm really glad to hear that you guys take a few hours to get going. I thought maybe it was just me. I mean, I expect 15 min or so but a couple hours seems like a long time to get going..maybe it's not.

How much coffee do you drink Steve? Sounds like a lot..tradeoff with the anxiety. My anxiety only really comes on late afternoons/early evenings if I have overdosed on caffeine...and that was never a problem til I started the Wellbutrin cuz it kind of hops you up too.

No that much but with the anxiety/possible bipolar a cup or two cranks me way up and two lasts all day. Yeah if I go beyond two cups I start to feel like I'm going insane as well.

Muddy is the coffee master around here dude can just pound.

I used to be, in first grade. School was an alley away from home. I'd get there half an hour before everyone.

We had this old lady security guard with a dog. They'd be snoozing away in there. Id come in there, dog would start barking waking her up. She'd look at me like: what the fuck is wrong with you?

I am not, nor have I ever been a morning person. EVER. I don't like people waking me up. the alarm is fine, but as soon as someone touches me....grrrrr. Once I'm up and running I am fine.

I am a night owl, always have been even when I was little. I can't do it much these days, but hell, I used to stay up for days on end. In highschool, I was never present before second period. Used to get suspended a lot for that, then they just kind of gave up, can't do that with my job though.

And then the party pizza happened?

Man these guys with little to no commute have it made, fuckers.
I know right? I only have 25 feet to get to work and I still can't make it on time..ha.

And, yes, if and when Bacon lets me, I still like to stay up all night and sleep til noon on the weekends.
I'm not a night owl either ..weird... It makes me nervous actually if I'm up past 1...maybe I'm getting too MUCH sleep.

I do pay $1550 to live in a shoebox and cannot afford to own a car because of prohibitive insurance costs inside my postal code.

Other than that, sure. Ballin'.

Damn man prohibitive insurance codes? In that they don't want people driving?

The commute adjustment has been extremely trying here, from rolling over and picking up a laptop to having to walk roughly 4 strides to work from a desktop. It's about adjustments and how you handle them. Cami actually has to go to a different room, pure Hell.

Like I mentioned before, I pay $1400 in insurance for my $800 motorcycle.

Any car would cost me at least $2k to insure, even with a clean driving history. Fok that. I spend about $3k a year on car rentals, all inclusive (gas, insurance, etc.)
