Really would like to do it this year. Wasn't so bad when I just had to wear contacts for distance, but when you hit 40, you get hit with nearsightedness also. I have to wear "readers" with my contacts to read, or my progressive lenses that work for both, but give me a headache if I wear them too long.

I don't know how it works if you are both far and near sighted. If I have to wear reading glasses also, not sure of the point.

Fok this getting old shit.

Seems like it used to be pretty expensive, but I think the cost has come down significantly. The eyedea of someone working on my corneas is not appealing, but if it's only 5 minutes....

That's where I would go. Holy Shit..you should see their new building. Mom had her cataract surgery there a month or so ago. Place is sweet.

Was your wife near or far sighted? Did she have both eyes done? May I ask what they charged?

That's about what I figured...5k. I spend a small fortune on contacts though, and am always losing my glasses. Yes she would be nearsighted...that's what I am, but I do now also have problems with small print..

The only other person I know who had it done, loved it too.

Thanks...I am going to research it. I think Vance Thomson is the best place to go in the 605...might be a little more, but don't want to gamble with my eyesight.

She wants to get her boobs done this winter, so I'm pretty excited about that. A friend of hers got hers done last winter, they're nice. My wife got to test drive them the other night. Getting them done in Sioux Falls somewhere but I'm not sure where.

Now that is something I have never for one second considered.

Test drove them?

I have to wear readers all the time now. One eye is weaker than the other one by .50. I think one is .25 and the other is .75. It sucks when I am shopping and have to read labels. I cannot use my phone or iPad/computers without my glasses. What I ended up doign was going to the dollar store and bought a bunch of 1.5 cheap, but decent looking glasses for the car, wife's purse etc. Now the problem is is that the .25 eye is now weaker because I use the extra .25 from the 1.5 glasses.

I'd get the surgery, but I also don't want to mess with laser surgery shit on my eyes.

lol. I got a bunch of readers from the dollar store too...various strengths too. I need them when reading labels too...or restaurant menus!! What I don't know is if they can do something to fix that while correcting my near sightedness also.

I also wonder how long those surgery corrections are supposed to be good for. One time I thought I heard 10 years, but I could be thinking of something else. I'll do it if you do it Pucky! I'm a little skeeeered.
