did he order something in a restaurant you work or was he judging some competition you were in? i'd love to have some of these chefs/cooking show personalities over to my place to cook for them.

count me as a fan of the show as well, find the show pretty original, educational and entertaining in today's dumbed-down tv world. loved it when he was shooting with ted nugent, of whom i'm also a fan. only thing about bourdain i don't agree with is the man actually loves durian fruit, i'm always suspicious of anyone who voluntarily consumes that stuff.

Blitty you should check out David Chang, if you can ever here him speak.

He owns Momofuku, and a bunch of noodle bars in NYC.

I've been to one of the Momofuku's. Good stuff. I like the pork buns.


Tony's new book is called Medium Raw.

IT's an interesting read. Not as good as Kitchen Confidential, but its easy to read, I read it in about 3 days, just reading it on the subway to and from work.

For people who enjoyed kitchen confidential, you should read Blood, Bones, and Butter, its by Gabrielle Hamilton, who is a female NYC chef. Funny book

I enjoy No Reservations on the Travel Channel. Another interesting read is In Defense of Food by Michael Pollan.

When I got my books signed, I asked him "What is your favorite meal after a three day drug binge."

Definitely!

It looks like when we go to CR, we're going for good so it'd be cool to have someone help me find some decent food places.

Hope the 3hr mission was worth it.
