I was thinking on this today, as the Epstein Files have been around in some capacity for 20 years, so why would Trump be the only president getting heat about not releasing them when none of the others really did? I don't remember them getting a lot of questions about it. Perhaps they did, but certainly not to this extent.
The answer is because Trump was the only one to promise to release them.
Not that most politicians are held to any promise keeping standard that I am aware of. But, it is a difference from the other presidencies.
