I don't really mountain bike, but I happen to represent/sell the best eMTB in the world so I have had no choice but to start dabbling in it, lol
I bought myself a cheap hardtail (Marin San Quentin) so I don't destroy my $10k eMTB demo while learning the ropes. I quite like it, it's got 27 5" wheels vs 29" for the Amflow. I feel more at home on 27.5" hoops:

Much harder. It's slow and tiring af, but descents are a blast. You steer with your ass and the rear brake.
