But concerned that it might be best for your crown balding, and not as good on receding/thinning frontal hair

Tron sort of asked. I THINK it's probably done good for my overall thickness, though I'm using it to target crown balding. For $44 you can try a 6mo treatment and decide for yourself. Just give it a fair chance by sticking to it.
