There are no less than 5 containers of hair conditioner in my shower and no shampoo. It was like a scavenger hunt, but with no payoff in the end.

No hair can need this much conditioning. Is MrsX a pawn of the the hair-care industry?
 
I went shopping with my honeybun for skin care products the other day. It is mind-blowing all the minute little variations they sell - and she buys. There must have been 50 different Olay products she frowned at and evaluated before finally settling on the 4 she "needs."

I wonder if they all came from the same vat at the Olay factory.
 
My sister's bathroom had several (at least 6) different conditioners in her shower. She explained that they were all for different hair issues, depending on the day.

It makes me sad that my hair is simple enough to only need one. I think it might be "special needs."

You have no idea what a dangerous path that is to start down with MrsX. MrsX's mother is a wee bit excessively on the thrifty side when it comes to little tricks like that, and there is watered down shit EVERYWHERE. I'm talking, like, peanut butter. It's frightening. MrsX has shown some of the same tendencies, so I try to nip those behaviors in the bud before things get out of hand.

I would be interested to see the placebo, if they aren't placebo products to begin with.

Which bring us to an even worse problem than the shower area. The bathroom cabinets! Been 'bout 8 years since I was live-in with a chick, but I only had 'bout 5% cabinet space for my stuff. As time passes it gets worse, to the point where you have to start looking outside the bathroom to store the spare shaving cream.

I had to use watered down A-1 sauce on my steak the other day b/c I was to lazy to go to the store.
