I just went to see Backrooms (2026) with kiddo and his friend. If you have any interest in indie horror films, go see it. It's one of the most creative things I've watched in a long time.

My kid has impeccable taste in fucked-up movies. 👌

I'm very curious to know what Tron & Son will think of it. Some families walked out, I'd say 5 or 6, when we saw it on Saturday, but the room was packed and the atmosphere was electric. The people who stayed obvious loved it.

This Ken Parsons kid is going places. Weird places.

8.5 out of 10 Trons.

I very quickly recognized the lead male actor as the lead in 12 Years A Slave.

I really loved 12 Years A Slave so I was instantly locked in.

I loved THE DREAD in this film. It had the same level of dread that Hereditary had.

The only scene I didn’t like was “the kitchen” scene toward the end. It felt a let up in the dread and I wasn’t expecting it and nor wanting it.

The first therapy (role play) scene between the male lead and the female lead was my favorite.

Extremely original film. The more you can “relate” to the film, the more you’ll like it.

My 20 year old gave it a 6 out of 10. My 18 year old gave it a 9.

Interesting factoid: “Eyes of a Stranger” by Payola (the band) makes a 60 second appearance. That song first appeared in Valley Girl starring Nicolas Cage. I’m just weird enough to know that.

One of my buddies has a much bigger Vegas bankroll than I do (he buys in at the craps table for between $3K and $5K. I’m not a Craps player but I enjoy the action so I buy 10% of his action and I’m usually with him when he plays. I was +$675 on Craps for the trip.

I was +$280 on poker for the trip

If I played a lot more poker, I would tend to make more money. I love playing poker at Aria and have historically done very well there.

But I only played like 5 hours of poker in 5 nights. Not good.

Glad that 2 out of 3 members of the Tron clan gave it more than a passing grade. I'm genuinely impressed with the stuff that is coming out of Internet/YouTube culture. Iron Lung earlier this year was also super creative.
