So everyone that was stockpiling is unloading Beltran and Jones?
They didn't unload, they flooded the market thinking they were getting rich. Your strategy does work with other sports better than baseball.

Obvious HOFers from the steroid era - I think they will get in, there is still a little room for growth. I would look at 90's numbered inserts and pack-issued on-card autographs. Even the newer Bonds autos from the last couple years have some growth.

Thanks FW, ill take a look. Thats actually part of the allure of the "one" I've been collecting. The 35yr anniversary throwbacks from Topps flagship are on card for some reason.

Yeah, they've been inserting throwbacks for the last 5-6yrs now. They're nostalgic, affordable and autos on card. From my formative collecting years I probably had the most '89. But I love '90 (and '86) from a look standpoint and collected some of those as well. '91 sucks.

most of 88, 89 , 90 here too

big boom and a market flooded with those cards.

I bought 2-3 sets of those years she built about 8 more with paper route and grass cutting money.

when we sold the house in Chicago a few years back..I hid them and other boxes of cards in random spots, in the house for future owners to find

My era was mostly 86, 87, 88.

And I was completely done after 1991.

Girls took all my free time.

90-91 and 91-92 are my fave hockey sets (Upper Deck and Pro Set). 1991 Score my fave baseball set from the era - I still have the factory set I bought at Price Club (Costco predecessor) with my Christmas money.
