Been done with chains for me many years ago. Was Pizza Hut in SJ within a decent walking distance back when son was young and we would usually frequent it when we were on the cheap. Little C never, Papa John and Dominos once or twice up there. One gave you what, a small cup of garlic butter or something?

Big Mike's our go to place for pizza ALWAYS! nice crunch (usually) and few unique sides we like. Tried plenty of shitty non-franchise ones before finding this place.
@Shortstop check out the prices, it is what it is!

Casper would know, but these places have to get product delivered to them. First manufacturer ships it to a food distributor.. Then they daily truck it to pizza places.

Inflation across the board hasn’t helped especially with fuel costs involved with the above. Even at these prices with so much competition, I wonder how some of the mom /pop ones can make a decent living.

Great margins on pizza even with inflation. Plus pizza ingredients have a great shelf life. When you are sitting on pounds of wagyu beef and fresh seafood you are nervous.

Invested in an ice cream truck this summer, it’s awesome to know as long as the freezer is plugged in I’m not losing product.
