Yah. I would just noodle around, not play copyrighted stuff. Goal is to have a banter-based show with a few licks thrown in for good measure.

This is the LockPickingGuitarPickupMaker and today we had a bit of a breakout moment after reading about proper lockpicking technique. You have to be delicate with it, especially with higher-end locks like the one on my shop's front door.

I can now pick any lock that is present in my household. When all else fails I can partner up with plommer and become a bike thief, or a home invader. Plommer would tell me when the old ladies in his neighbourhood have their doctor's appointment and I can swoop in and get the good jewellery.

:cripwalk:

After reading this thread and watching a few YouTube videos on lock picking,I convinced myself anyone could do it.So I went looking for a lock picking set ,unsuccessfully. Then I took an old key and grinded it down trying to make a bump key.
After 15 minutes of futility I got out my grinder and cut the fucking lock off

Think without that little tension wrench it’s tough to know how much pressure to apply.
Also I got the attention span of a monkey

Yes, the amount of tension is critical, that was part of my breakout moment today.

I do feel like I've accomplished something (even though what I really should've been doing is packing boxes. Moving in a week.)

Those guys on the internet make it look so easy,I also tried to make shims out of a pop can and unlock a Master padlock ,which are apparently easy to bypass.
No luck
Was a lock I used to lock up a canoe outside and somehow I lost the key.Maybe it being a rusty mess made it harder.

My career as a cat burglar was short lived

CAN'T STOP WON'T STOP

I don't even have the key to this one

You just defiled UHaul property and will be hearing from their lock picking lawyers

My other half goes through periods of new hobbies. Last winter was lock picking. He had a whole set of tools and locks to practice on. I really didn't think this was a common "hobby."

It's a guy thing. We're fucking dumb.

I'm technically an Orange Belt picker as per the u/lockpicking subreddit.

I will submit video proof of my ability and get my "belt" (flair added to my username).

Next step is the green belt. (And I believe that I already own a purple-belt-level lock, but that's way beyond my skill level right now.)

Dumb dumb dumb

Has he gone into Rubik's Cubes?

Definitely a male dominated past time, not one of the videos I watched was there a woman even in the background.
I believe it stems from being a little boy knowing the Old Man kept his booze and good porn under lock and key.
Wasn’t successful as a child or an adult in picking a lock
Might try bomb making

My mom's boyfriend in the early 90's kept GIF porn on floppy disks in a lockable floppy storage thingie. It was easily defeated with a paper clip and a screwdriver. That was my lockpicking white belt right there.

Green belt level lock to secure the contents of my moving truck :handshake: Haven't been able to pick that one yet

Once upon a time, I dated a locksmith. He was absolutely terrible at picking locks.
