I thought it was German. She's Dutch.

Close enough.

:germany:

And what's the deal with Ellen Page? Like I know she's Canadian - and I know she's gay - but what's the deal?

She seems adorably bland in real life.

I believe the kids would call her basic.

The role of Juno was made for her.

I mean, I don't know if it was literally made for her - in the way that the role in Far From Heaven was actually written for Julianne Moore - and the role in The Contender was written for Joan Allen.

But whether Diablo Cody was actually using her as a model or not, Ellen Page seems like she is Juno.

But not all that much else unfortunately.

Looking forward to Big Eyes but it looks like it's not playing at the super deluxe movie theater like I had hoped.

If I want to watch Hunger Games 37 times a day I can see that, though.

Saw Birdman.

I love its style, and the performances were great. I felt it bogged down a bit in the middle, but still a definite recommend.

Also, I'm in a deep, meaningful relationship with Emma Stone, so her performance alone is reason enough to see it.

Nice comeback for Keaton.

I have a feeling that I'll like it even more on a second viewing.

Say, that's a really well done trailer. Makes me want to right go out and see it again.

Did I mention this one? I saw Keaton on some late night show, and they showed a clip of this Movie it seemed interesting .

Oh yeah, now I remember, I kept watching because I was trying to figure out which one of those geezers is older, Keaton or Letterman?

Don't know about Big Eyes.

Don't know.

Seems like there are always problems with Tim Burton movies.

The clips I've seen of Christoph Walz doing sort-of comedy don't look quite right either - but the Tim Burton thing . . .

Don't know.

Has anybody seen - and have any comments - on the movie Win Win?

We watched this, not bad, not that good.

Muddy during this period where an almost complete lack of fucking decent shit exists we will take that any day of the week, sir.

The trailer I saw for Birdman makes me want to skip it and watch Django again.

Really? Same trailer that I posted?

Not that watching Django is ever the wrong choice, but I thought it was a pretty good trailer. Then again, maybe it's better after you see the movie and know the characters.

Been watching Season 1 of Louie. It's hit and miss, but lots of sincere LOLs per episode. I assume it gets a lot better.

First great episode of Louie - the one where the kid messes with him at the donut shop and Louie ends up following him home and having a cigarette with the dad. Very well done.

do you look forward to sharing such times with minimatty?

Guardians of the Galaxy: From now on we are going to target movies aimed within 20 years of our actual age. Rating: not applicable

I was vaguely planning to watch that.

Do you hate superhero movies in general or just this one?

It's got very solid IMDB/Metacritic ratings.
