Ok let me clarify what I meant, I am not used to seeing people group Christians and Catholics when it comes to certain practices as Lent, Ash Wednesday, ECT. because most of the christian, I.E. protestant, non denominational, etc. in my town didn't practice the same things.

Yes...Catholics traditionally put more weight on Lent than do protestants in terms of Ash Wednesday and sacrifice etc.
