I was minding my own business, enjoying a day off. I just got some good news in a house search and my buddy Blitty was over to drink a couple beers. Anyway, Blitty left and I go into the bedroom to put on some pjs and really relax... on the top of the dresser I notice a little white bead.. upon closer inspection I notice that one of my cats has lost a tooth.

FUCK FUCK FUCK. This shit is gonna cost me $$$ to properly care for this ugly beast that I already took off the streets. I google it and it appears that its 75/25 take it to the vet... my wife is gonna wanna take it to the vet... GENERAL ANESTIA?!? FUCK.FUCK FUCK. We're gonna be one of those weird couples that brushes our cats teeth?!?! SPECIAL DIET ($$$). FUCK FUCK FUCK....








I hope my little Weegie is ok...

It's true, I am obsessed with expenses (perhaps overly). But I think vetranary expense is something many people stress over. I'm more concerned with the well being of my beloved cat. It looks like we are going to take a wait and see approach and only get her vet help if she starts acting different.

I do know how to spend when it's warrented. I prefer to sweat a lot of the small stuff which allows me to enjoy the big stuff when it comes time. I gamble for entertainment, I take an occasional vacation, i like to treat my friends and family to social acrtivities and I buy new (after researching).

Cats are useless, Boner. The only thing the are good for is catching mice if you have any. Cats are a needless expense. People are better off having a goldfish.

Finally dealing with this issue. First visit cost $200, tooth extractions cost $800 and additional testing for leukemia and anti bodies for cat scratch fever stuff costs $200... At a modest annual return of 5% this animal just cost me 3255 over 20 years, the equivalent of 1/3mo of retirement for both my wife and I. At 8% return $5912. A little over 1/2 mo... I guess she's worth .5-1weeks of work (for each me/wife).
