I would stay at a place like Planet Hollywood or Harrah's. Fairly reasonable, nice rooms, central strip location. Or maybe slightly offstrip at a place like Tuscany or the Palms.

I didn't have any problems checking in at the Bellagio. No age limit.

Better yet, I'd get a suite at some of the mid-priced hotels like Mandalay, PH, Hard Rock, or Palms.

I like(d) Mandalay Bay a lot. Partly because of its boxing pedigree, but the rooms were quite nice too. Price is quite reasonable for what it is.

Personally I prefer what monkey and fw say. Either side of strip on Flamingo Ballys/Tuscany or Rio/Gold Coast.

All depends on how much you like crowds and being right in the middle of it all

OK I will try Aria or Encore next time. My wife likes the Bellagio. She makes the reservations all the time.

I took the Excalibur; I chose it based on its location and the fact that the flight I wanted to take cost almost the same as this flight/room package;I guess whoever bought the block of WestJet tickets had a deal with Excalibur. I know more or less what I'm gonna get and I don't care too much. I've been to Vegas once before so I kinda know my way around. I plan on playing a bunch of Texas Hold'em, betting and drinking so I don't foresee being in the room too much.

A nice hotel bed is a wonderful thing. I sleep better in hotels than at home.

I was on the first WestJet flight back from Vegas when they opened a direct Montreal/Vegas route in 2009. I believe they gave us free booze to celebrate the occasion. Second favorite arline after Porter.

I think it will be fun to be in Vegas for the Superbowl. I have never bet at a casino sportsbook before. I'm stoked about not having to transfer anywhere and just flying straight from Toronto to Las Vegas. Stopover's/transfers do not make me very happy; I'm bringing my travel guitar and I'm happy knowing it just has to make it onto one plane and not two.

re: SB party, I don't think so. I moved since last year and the new apartment is tiny, it gets cramped with like 6 people in. Will prolly go to my buddy's house.
