I sometimes take a break from most of the internet. I'll check my email and look at threads here but never bother to post, When I come back, I never know what thread to post in to say hi. So I am going to use this one. Things look quiet in here as of late. I've been busting my balls working on my house. I hope everyone in GL world is doing well. I think I may be getting a fat settlement cheque for the accident I was in. It may even be for the full insurance estimate... We shall see.

I spent the last 3 weeks putting a new kitchen roof/porch on my log cabin. It was never done properly in the 1st place. Once we got the tin off the roof and the wooden siding off, it was a disgusting mess of bat shit, mouse shit, dead bugs and half ass insulation, if any.. etc... It got done with just me and my General Contractor. Got an awesome deal because he's an old friend and was working for $$ under the table. I did all the demo clean up and cutting/sawing of lumber so I saved a ton of $$...

A ton of stuff really. I'll try to get some pictures posted somewhere soon.

Sounds like it's a good thing you are redoing the cabin.

Ya Cammy; It's a total re-build house really, except for the bare log structure. It was originally an old pioneer building or barn and was bought as is, relocated and put back together... Great concept, but whoever built it was broke and knew very little about building anything. I got it for dirt cheap 10 years ago and am slowly bringing into something awesome.
