Watching the Daily show w/ John Stewart.
This fast and furious thing is all over tv, and consistently being compared to the watergate.
And yet he is still in the running for the upcoming presidential election.
Opinions?

Also, correct me if I am wrong, but isn't a lawless dictatorship somewhat of a oxymoron.

Sidenote: a radio personal made a comment about this being a dictators wet dream!

No idea what you're talking about. How is Fast and Furious tied to Obama other than him using Executive Privilege for a number of documents? It happens all the time. This is Obama's first time using it. GWB used it 6 times. Clinton 14. GHWB once. Reagan 3 times.

On a lot of the news channels they keep comparing it to the Watergate. I do understand why. Hence my asking peoples opinion on it, the media seems to be having a blast blowing this shit out of the water and twisting it all around.

Fox News? Not sure how it even comes close to Watergate. It's NOTHING like it.

That's why I don't watch TV.
 
That's a really stupid article. Completely slanted and factually and analogously bankrupt. They aren't even close to the same. And to say that Obama is invoking Executive Privilege to cover it up is hilarious. How does the author know what's in those documents? Executive privilege was used by GWB in documents regarding meetings between Dick Cheney and energy execs, the outing of CIA operative Valerie Plame, the friendly-fire death of Pat Tillman, and testimony from Karl Rove. Was the author calling any of those cover-ups?
 
A least no one died during Watergate. So yeah, I guess it's way worse.

FOX News = Entertainment News With A Couple Nice Looking Whores
CNN = We Wish Someone Would Watch Our Damn Entertainment News
MSNBC = LBGT TV

Let's review the facts:

Watergate:
-Burglary committed by agents of the White House
-Cover up
-President resigned in shame

Fast and Furious:
-Arming of Mexican drug cartels by agents of the White House
-Hundreds of Mexicans murdered
-At least one U.S. citizen murdered
-Cover up
-President evokes 'executive privilege' for documents he supposedly never read


They were both cover ups by the government, that's about all I can see as similar.
 
Like I said the other day about politics, it's all bullshit and just depends on which side of the spin you decide to align yourself.

The main point being made here about Obama is the hypocrisy in which then Senator Obama demanded answers to something President Bush had used executive privileges on, I found references to this but I didnt look deep enough to find the exact reason.

When you yourself use a platform of holding others accountable then you should also be held accountable.

Naturally thats not the way the way things go and for me or anyone else to feel insulted by that standard practice it would be nave to think it would be any other way.

They are all double talking special interest protecting lying scumbags.

Oh and the media just happens to be one of those special interest so goodluck ever really getting an honest neutral and factual account of what the fok is going on.

She knows everything about me, things no one else will ever know. She's seen my best and she's seen my worst and yet she still loves me. I wish she was here to fill the emptiness. Guess I'm just stressing about that.
