It is pretty amazing however, what these guys do..they average 130 miles a day at speeds over 25 mph for 3 weeks in a row... It'd be great to see a Canadian on the podium at the end of one of the most famous bicycle races in history...
I often get put off because of the doping part of cycling but a Canadian being up there for the Giro is pretty f'n marvellous! This isn't some little bike race.

No doubt, no doubt. It is a probably good thing that not all Canadian athletes are focused on slapshots and inturn draws. I am automatically behind the guy.
I just never heard of him and I don't follow cycling. Do you know more about him? Is he representing us in any of the cycling at the London Olympics?
I been out of the GTA for the last week and 1/2. I am back to the land of high speed internet... I think Ryder is going to win. I'm on him to win now. He is the odds on favorite at this point and is at +190 . Get it while it's hot...
I was just at my house, in the Ottawa Valley... I own a house in the country that I am fixing up and hope to retire to someday... Right now, however there are no high speed internet options, so I have to keep a dialup account... pages take forever to load so I dont bother posting much when I don't have a high speed connection.
I have a love for cycling. At the moment, I own no less than 8 bikes. I did some bicycle racing for fun for a few years so I have a ton of respect for the sport even if they are all doped up like race horses... I actually got to watch Hesjedal race one year in the Canada Cup Mountain bike series...This was about 10 years ago and he destroyed the whole field..obviously. I think part of the reason he is such an amazing road cyclist is because he has such a solid mountain bicycling background.... I just hope he can pull off the win tomorrow...He currently sits about 31 seconds behind the leader of the race but has a distinct advantage in the final stage....
