I know, you know, and probably Afghan rebels know that Stan Van Gundy is not going to return after this year. Fine this is not the first lame duck in office or as a head coach but what a freeroll this guy is on for the rest of the season. Most of us either way do not know how are future is going to go...but he does. If I were Stan I would....

1. Wake up every day and thank Dwight Howard for being Dwight Howard. Dwight makes Lebrons free agent move look smooth and seemless. When a player conjures up an ESPN special about his free agent move and looks better than how you handled your free agent move; its time to revoke your agents commission. As much as Carmelo and Amare made Mike D look like the problem is how Dwight is absolving Stan's reign as Magic coach. Without committing any felony, Mr Howard has dented his marketablity and value to other teams with his off again on again decisions and one trick crick back. Thank you Dwight as I knock back the first screwdriver of the day at breakfast.

2. Im expected to lose and lose badly now that Dwight is out for the playoffs. Time to go Don Nelson Golden State play all midgets time. Four point guards and a forward sure why not. Triangle and 2 D sure why not. If I make nutjob plays and I win a series I am called a coaching genius...if not Hey I dont have Dwight what do you expect....ah the perks and no responsibility.

3. Im too bad of a coach to be considered for even the Charlotte Bobcats and Detroit Pistons. There is comfort knowing that you are not going to get to hang around in the NBA and be the main man for a while. Im personable...why not do the college thing..get decent coin and get a Bobby P babe on the side......

4. Pressure what pressure.....time to try every stackhouse in every town remaining. Lobster and two martini lunches. Life is good where you know where you stood.

Im going out, Im not going to be back for quite a while, and I have enough coin in the bank to retire.....Im going to enjoy the first few months.

On a betting note, this team will be undervalued in their first round series against whoever they play. If you have an adequate bankroll plunk down half a unit for the magic to win their first series...you will get a good price

You think there is value on a team where the best player quit on his team and now out, and the coach will be gone? Players can't get this season ore fast enough IMO.

I do think there is value in this scenario. Orlando will be so undervalued.....Stan will try some un-orthodox stuff that either will really work or Titanic.....half a unit if you are adequately funded
