guess I just wanted to get a feel of what the market is like and all the graded cards etc. I used to be into sport cards in the 80's until they started coming out with too many worthless sets. I see that there's even more sets coming out now.

Was kind of thinking of starting to collect some older cards in nice shape. Wanted to grow a collection of something of value, and since I'm a fan of baseballs past, thought it might be a good idea.

I'm not big into the whole grading thing but I know the market. Some of the best graded bargains are 1975 topps bases. Graded older hockey are great also. High-Graded HOFers from pre1980 are great in the long run.

yeah, I like that set. I've had a nice Yount for a long time, and just bought a graded Pete Rose. Bought about a dozen cards off ebay. Don't know if I'm too crazy about having a card in a locked holder. :dunno: Would rather find some nice ungraded cards, but I'd have to see em up close, and there isn't a lot of shops locally where you can find anything in great shape.
