Very intriguing matchup IMO when capping this game. Personal day off combined with ESPN2 at 11PM tonight has my attention. First off I threw out most of the season team stats shown like FG% both offensive and defense wise. Also W-L records makes no sense to me either or anybody I guess since LB St is a 10 point fav.
LB St has played the #1 toughest schedule so far and Auburn is at #345 which is dead last! That close win over Hawaii last night by Auburn was against the team that has around the #340 hardest schedule!
Looked at a few conference previews and saw LB St as the prohibitive fav to win their conference weak as it may be. Auburn was picked 9-10th for the most part in the SEC.
Saw a LB St squad that has 4 seniors who have been playing significant minutes since their frosh years. Auburn has some new blood but still inferior to their opponent's talent.
Auburn nice 8-1 record includes 7 home wins so looking at it positively you could say they have found a way to get the win no matter how weak the opponent! LB St only 6-5 but have played the likes Of NC, Louisville, Kansas, and SD State competitively while beating both Pitt and Xavier. Though Xavier was missing key players last night the 49ers put the game away by halftime! Also Auburn's only loss was against a good Seton Hall squad but by 22 points!
Like the fact Total appears to be going up so IMO better chance of the win being greater than 10. So either you can say Auburn is better than they were suppose to be, ride the mo from last nights win, and cover the spread. Or you can say LB St is the determined vet team that is 2-3 against top 25 teams that will dispatch the Tigers with relative ease! I'm going with the latter.
