I stay in the sun all the time without sunblock. There are more bad chemicals in the sunblock that are dangerous to your skin than the sun itself.

I very rarely use sunblock except for on my face. I use 50+ every day. But really after living in this wasteland with a massive ozone hole sitting on top of the country I feel like a right arse when I think of how often I've baked in the sun here without any protection. I have olive skin and tan very quickly and darkly so I convince myself I get away with it but it's just silly.

We need to use sunblock Pavy. :polaroid:

almost certain I have pre cancerous shit all over me.
working during the summer I'll be in the sun until my shoulders start to blister, then do again the next day.
but will put a shirt on once I start bubbling... cant wear greasy ass sun block at work

Chemical Sunscreens Include:

Benzophenones (dixoybenzone, oxybenzone)

PABA and PABA esters (ethyl dihydroxy propyl PAB, glyceryl PABA, p-aminobenzoic acid, padimate-O or octyl dimethyl PABA)

Cinnamates (cinoxate, ethylhexyl p-methoxycinnamate, octocrylene, octyl methoxycinnamate)

Salicylates (ethylhexyl salicylate, homosalate, octyl salicylate)

Digalloyl trioleate

Menthyl anthranilate

Avobenzone [butyl-methyoxydibenzoylmethane; Parsol 1789] - This is the only chemical sunscreen currently allowed by the European Community. However, its safety is still questionable since it easily penetrates the skin and is a strong free radical generator.

It was a small mole that changed color

He sliced it off then sent it out for biopsy

Came back pre-cancerous

Tiny brown dot reappeared where Dr had sliced it off so he said only way to be 100% sure he got it all they'd have to cut it out

I get a skin check once a year. They scraped five suspicious areas to have tested. Two came back pre-cancerous. I went because a friend of mine had cancer on her leg and they took an enormous chunk out of her calf. They have to remove three times the area (or at least that's what I was told).
