DO NOT INVOLVE ANY GAMBLING FORUMS WHATSOEVER IN YOUR PROPOSAL!! DO NOTttt1!!!

Gotta agree with that. As for the rest, I don't know. I see marriage as "neither here not there" and don't really understand why 3 years of a happy relationship means that marriage must be inflicted.

But if it must, it must.

My instinct would be to go low-key and dignified. That would probably rule out the proposal-via-mooning-with-tattooed-ass idea.

Good luck whatever you decide.

Well of course that is how guys feel but women will never be convinced that marriage is not necessary....

sound like your not ready of marriage.
I dated my wife for about 5 yrs before we got married, had a 2 yr old son already.
I was kinda pressured into the whole marriage thing, but I folded and asked her in an unromantic way sorta like Bread except without having a 3some. ( thats still in the agenda though)

been married for about 5 yrs now and have been very close to divorce serval times.
got 2 kids
cant stand to be around her sometimes...

moral of the story:
dont marry her unless you really, really, really want to
and when you do marry her always remember its cheaper to keep her

archie you farming her out at all? if so i'd like a crack at it

archie i never get laid it is awful

archie bread wont let me get a crack at robyn

archie nina said no

archie teela said no

arch i'd appreciate it bud, i never get laid dude

let me know

Pally....just remember one thing.

No means NO!

I've been engaged a few times. Lame each go `round.

Did you keep the ring?

I kept mine.

I only kept one. The last one, he was still paying on.

I know that the legality of keeping the ring varies from state to state. I have some friends that were given rings back because the girl had to and other guys in which the girl kept the ring that they had given them.

An engagement ring is considered a gift and it does not have to be returned. The only one I actually kept is one that I partially paid for and it was attached to my wedding band (which I paid for). Someday, it will make a nice necklace...

I think that law is dicey in some states as i recall....as in if the ring was given on a holiday then it is considered a gift and if it wasn't there are some loopholes in which the man is entitled to it back.....I could be wrong but I think I remember that from a couple of my friends.

Personally, I wouldn't keep an engagement ring unless I followed through with the wedding. I just think it depends on the girl and her take on the situation as to whether or not she returns the ring. Some women feel as if they're entitled due to the situation to keep the ring.

He gave it to me on my birthday. Which makes it a present. And honestly, the subject of returning it never came up. When I went to move all my stuff out of the apartment, he made sure he wasn't there.

True story. Secretly married at the courthouse soon after, because I strongly disagree with making my friends and family have to waste their day and money on my wedding. Who cares.

.

Ballsy. I've never tied the knot, but had I did what you did, it would have been the ultimate "fuck you" to the family. I've done enough to alienate myself from them, but that would have been the final straw.

Hawk we are your new family

Bread is your new cousin

Fivey is your nephew

While a courthouse wedding sounds very white trash, it was the best thing EVER. The ceremony literally took a minute. We were then off and on our way to the airport to spend a few days in New Orleans. We called our family from the airport to deliver the news.
