Year end bonuses

Best I ever got was $500 cash from the owner of a convenience store I managed, last year I got a bottle of shit wine. Ammerican financial professionals live and die by this shit. My girlfriend finds out hers tomorrow.

Anyone ever get anything good? Anyone give anything good to their employees?

I got a bonus last week for my job that ended in October. I had a contract with a min bonus and then all kinds of stipulations that would increase it. It was for more than I expected, so I was pleased.

The wall street people I know go crazy over bonuses, my buddy had a job offer but won't a decision until he gets his bonus.

It should be noted that I haven't gotten a "year end bonus" in the 3 years prior to this bonus and those bonuses were $300.

That's because a lot of Wall St. positions are incentive-based. Most hedge funds and investment firms, for instance, pay a fairly paltry salary to traders with huge, year-end performance bonuses.
