I was ordering some books on Amazon and it dawned on me that I could probably find these at the public library. I don't know if it is that way everywhere, but it's free membership here. I remember it being a very nice library, but it's probably been over 10 years since I have been in ANY library.

I love the smell of old books. I'm going to get a card tomorrow. Weeeeee
 
We just drove past this condo building that's being built in what will be called the "library district" - their gimmick is a library that is part of the complex. The woman is really excited about this.

That's ok...gives me something to read while I'm on hold.

I spent a lot of time in the library in high school. I wonder if it smells the same. I know there are people who like the feel of real books, but I am really surprised that more libraries have not closed...maybe that have in other places...I dunno :dunno:
 
There was a local library I was frequenting about every week or so to do color by numbering since I can't really read. It really was fun but the last time I was in there these four librarians shut the place down for "lunch break" (yeah, right at 10:15 in the morning) locked me in the ladies room with them and spanked me with rulers until I cried, I'll never forget their cackling. I left with everyone who was waiting outside laughing at me but I do plan on going back.
 
i take the little viet to the big memphis library a few times during the summer... its fairly new(5-10yr old ish) and really nice... only problem is its right on the skirts of the projects and there is nothing but bumbs and shit walking all around... we will try some other ones this summer
