As a little kid, I loved Cats in the Cradle, but I had no idea that it was a sad song. I really thought that the dad was proud that his son grew up all important and busy just like him.

You know, come to think of it I Think I did too. Well maybe the "when you coming home son, I don't know when" clued me in even then. In any case, it's funny how I can remember listening to particular songs...where I was...the weather that day... I used to tape songs off top 40 radio on a cassette TAPE recorder. Did anyone else do that?

Fuck yeah! It was great. Remember how excited you'd be when you hit record, waited for the next song to play, and it was actually something you wanted.

OMG and sometimes some of my friends would sing into the tape recorder along with the song pretending we were Olivia Newton John. Oh LAWD. Casey Kasem (sp?), Dr. Dimento...good times.

some fukkin pro.

It's also remarkable that people choose "Every Breath You Take" by Sting to be their wedding song.

It's a song about stalking for fukks sake.

common ladies!

You ok IAG? A little depressed today?
Not at all. I'm ecstatic. College football. Woooooooooooooo...

In the past I have wallowed in sad songs following a break up or just some twisted desire to be sad, but I am anything but today. I just heard a song on the radio which inspired the thread.

p.s. do you know the song Wildfire?
