What is it with Gamelivers and I7 laptops?

What I wanted was to run the ps3 network to watch movies and porn and whatever else and never ever have a problem because my i5 shuts down when I try to do that shit, thinks it's overheating. I wanted something that would never power down or think it was overheating, which it was. Now it is not.

That sounds like a good idea! The laptop is completely fine except the screen is fucked. I could see a horizontal line maybe an inch wide when he was done with that. Is it seriously simple enough for me to do though? I'm a bit handy but no tech wiz by any stretch.



At what age did they learn to stay away from it? I've even googled strategies for dealing with this but nothing's working. He knows about the lights on the numbers and caps lock and has figured out how to use the touchpad so he just wants to keep pushing them. That + him not being totally coordinated yet = he manages to knock it over somehow. This time I'd put the Toshiba and MacBook on the 3rd shelf of a linen closet when I went for a shower while he was napping. From the little chair and broom laying near the scene of the crime, I assume he woke up and sussed out my hiding spot rather quickly and it must've slammed the floor when he poked it down. What I can't figure out is that I have a Mac Pro completely accessible to him but he has no interest and has never touched it (thank f). Only cares about laptops and my phones.

After age 2 they should learn to obey commands else they get a timeout. And is not just the computer. It's on everything. You tell tell them once. You tell them twice. If they don't obey you give them a timeout. If they still not obey you take away their toys for as many days as needed and if they still don't obey you take the toys out permanently and throw them away.
 
wouldnt steer you in the wrong direction oksy... go to amazon, they redirect you to a co. they work with...make sure you type in the exact screen you need and the correct pixel requirements... and get ya one... this vid shows you exactly what to do...its as easy as unscrewing some tedious little screws, (carful pulling the plastic casing off the front, it will be a little flimsy) taking the screen off, plugging the cord thingy back in the right spot on the new screen and screwing it back on the frame... here is the vid for your computer or one similar...


really not much to it ... it saved me $200 by doing it myself

That's how it works with mine.
They listen pretty well though so it's not often they get in trouble.

Durito doesn't strike me as much of a disciplinarian. I think it's because he is so fascinated with the fact he sired such a cute little patito.

I can't speak for duriot obv but I tell him no constantly and he listens in every other aspect other than with laptops and phones. For some reason, it just doesn't work. He just wants to play with them and I can't get him to stop.

Everyone I've talked to - including his paed - says the timeout should last one minute per each year of age. 2 minute timeouts do jack. He just giggles and has a blast, even if I put him a guest room with nothing to entertain himself other than a mirror. I suck. :sad:

I could be wrong but I think he is trying to tell you he needs to play with other kids his age (playing with the phone and computer is him acting up). Try to have some play dates for him with kids of his age either at your house or other parents house or even at the park.

We have 4 set play dates a week and he's in 3yr preschool (that's a thing here in Australia). That's why sometimes my posts are messed up or incoherent... I just try to slap them up in in the loo or whatever. He's always around other kids his age. That's what shits me. I honestly don't get why he's so fascinated with this stuff. And it's truly the Apple products. He happened to mess up the Toshiba in this instance but that would've been by fluke. Maybe 3's the charm :)
 
Sounds like one of those that just wants to know how it works. Maybe a computer or phone of his own like the leappad/frog materials, or
even a regular one w/o service so that he can learn how to use it, maybe he wants to play games on it, I know my friends little year old
boy loves to play games on her phone.
