All 300-win pitchers made it too but P Niekro, G Perry, and E Wynn hung on way too long to be a HOF in my book.
Vlad will make it, his defense in his early years was amazing.
Does runs scored figure in at all?
Not suggesting it does/should. I really don't know how these writers value everything.
Joe Girardi won three rings as well. Damon won't get in on the back of 3000 hits, he has had a decent career but a distinct lack of killer years. If there was a Hall Of Very Good, he'd be a first ballot HOFer in that.
Funny stuff, I like that. This kid today Moore for the Rays may be destined for something above the hall of above average, supposedly has three great pitches, a fastball around 96 and great control. His second start in the majors, tough playing the hottest team in baseball on the road but he will be fun to watch today.Anybody watch Vlad play recently? Guy can barely run. Still can hit, though.

Damon back in action. At his current rate he could hit 3k in 2 1/3 years. 3k would get him in....
