If you are posing this question seriously, maybe I can give you insight from my personal experience.

As hard as it is to move away from the action, you need to ask if you are happier now or before you started gambling.

I gamble next to none now. I drink quite a bit, but my gambling has gone from looking for constant action to now an occasional trip to a casino or horse track.

I am not saying drinking is a good transition, but I can say their are many other things to do with your time.

Good luck in finding your inner zen.

Gambling should be a minor, disposable part of life. If it gets to the point where it "has taken everything you once had" and you have to ask how to live without it, then you are probably an addict and should start by getting treatment.

Otherwise you just live life. What that means to each individual will vary depending on responsibilities and interests. Earn a living, do your hobbies. Live life.

this is absolutely the correct answer. Learned years ago that gambling cannot be a focal point. I sure win a lot more cash when it's just a hobby with barely any pressure. Good work, cat. Gambling is a hobby = life is a lot better:megaman:
