Do you buy your watches from the same dealer McB?

What was your earliest watch that you still have?

Just went to dealers and told them what I was looking for and to let me know if they ever have them in stock. They call me and I would reserve. You used to be able to go to Bahamas and find them at the different markets without having to pay taxes. For several years now, if you go in they will have absolutely 0 inventory of new Rolex.

Don't have any relics. The Oyster is 5 years old, so relatively new.

Got ya. I started with Bulova around 15 years ago and then a few Movados. I will get out the Bulova. It needs a battery change out which is why I haven't worn it lately.

These are the Bulova and Movados. Most of them need batteries so I haven't worn them in years. The one with the big numbers on the outside was the first one when I turned 30. The ceramic pieces started to fall off the bezel and I've not found a used one that I could buy and use the pieces from it. Just took me down memory lane with these. The one with a side profile is a curved watch so it doesn't sit flush on the wrist. The all black Movado is a lightweight all ceramic and my favorite but lost a link recently.

I came here to ask which of you tool bags are into fancy watches (besides Matty and Cougar obvs)... but Jesus fuck Shortstop has got serious problems. Also miss you @tullamore !

Big fan of high end watches. In certain industries better than cash. Lot easier to walk through an airport with a $20k watch than $20k in cash. Value on certain brands and models can be relatively stable and thus be a source of currency.
