Val - I respect the NC thing, it is best, IMO. It's what I have always done when plausible. Aside from a couple highschool BFs, I have never remained friends with an ex. I don't know how people do that.

I think this stuns her...I do not like doing this...I hope this will knock her down a notch so in her next relationship she can find happiness...

Thought about the strip club/pro route...it is basically exercise for too much money....can get gym membership or dehydrator for the same cost and be better off......

I would rather take that $$$ and go to casino to play poker for ten hours or so.....

Without booze, I seem less of a man but I have to face this and get through it instead of boozing it out.....

No harm in enjoying a few drinks here and there, but boozing out completely isn't a good idea IMO, it only prolongs facing your emotions.
Going through a breakup, no matter how rough, or cordial, always sucks, no one way around it.

Like I said before, I don't think it matters which activity you choose, as long it is something you find enjoyment in, that will lead you down a better path.

Now is the time to focus on yourself, on healing, on getting to know or find yourself in your new chapter, etc. Worry less about her, and focus your energy elsewhere. It'll get easier, just take it day by day.
 
Val that's a long fucking time man, jesus; I didn't know it was that serious. The only answer is time - you got any rebound options? Those can be a nice bandaid that can turn into something cooler. Seriously, there's nothing wrong with doing Eharmony either. Sure you hear bad stories but heck looking back in the end I met a few cool girls on there and had alot of fun after coming out of my 8 year engagement. If everybody's honest it's cool.
 
Gotcha. If you do go on a tear please document it here. A bunch of us have had some pretty awesome stories on here. Blitty jumps out of bathroom windows and stoop whispers. Cali puts things in dildos before boarding planes and throws up out of taxi windows. Fiver's good with the fake facebook accounts. I've done a thing or two.
 
They say the best way to get over someone is to get under someone else, but I do not subscribe to that theory. Unless you are really ready it can backfire, and it's not fair to all involved.

It's too bad you can't be friends after being together for so long...maybe down the line.

I like the song...it's on my ipad...listened to it on the treadmill the other day.

Oh..and once we talked about playing chess but of course I lost the info you sent me on what site and your player id or whatever.

I twisted my ankle so won't be on the treadmill much this week..I'll have some extra time if you want to play a game shoot me a pm.
