For the first time since 2004 the U.S. men's national soccer team is coming to South Florida.

The U.S. team will host Honduras in an international friendly at Sun Life Stadium on Oct. 8 at 6 p.m. It will also be first time at Sun Life Stadium since a 2-0 loss to Holland in early 1998. The U.S. played to a 1-1 draw against Haiti at the Orange Bowl in 2004.

The match against Honduras falls on an international fixture date, which should allow U.S. coach Jurgen Klinsmann the opportunity to call in a full complement of players.

The U.S. holds a 11-3-3 record against Honduras dating back to 1965. Honduras was a semifinalist in the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup, before losing to eventual champion Mexico
