In the Champions League soccer match between Inter Milan and Tottenham Hotspur on 20 October 2010, the first half in which Inter took a 4-0 lead into the dressing room led most spectators to believe that the result of the game was a formality. However a stunning second half hat trick by Gareth Bale made the result a lot more respectable for Tottenham, although ultimately fruitless, as they were defeated by a score of 4-3. Despite this the performance by Bale set up the team for a 3-1 home win over Inter two weeks later, as well as inflating the price of Bale's stock on the open market, which was the deciding factor in them securing first place in Group A.

Animator Richard Swarbrick created a two minute hand drawn homage to the performance of Bale that night which is deep ingrained into the memory of Tottenham fans. The animation took a total of 35 hours to create and is set to the piece called Cinematic Balloons, written by the artist, alongside commentary from the game.

that's blasphemy. Milan is reserved for AC Milan.

I hope Fiver watches that on shrooms or acid
