too many people having raggedy out of wedlock babies who are constantly in my way on the road and at supermarket. I follow that part.
I have considered that I've become too easily annoyed and impatient and perhaps self absorbed. But I dont know to what extent me having empathy for strangers matters. He didn't address that well. I feel the older I get the less empathy I feel in fact.

btw, I think my life was more of a boring routine before graduation

The thing I have found with empathy is that there is a huge selfish component to it. When I make an effort to understand and relate, to not be impatient - I am happier.

Impatience - what an unpleasant feeling. I'm so much happier without it.

Same with annoyance. That's a much wider-ranging concept but the more I reduce it, the happier I tend to be.

I agree with ya Muddy. If you try to relate and understand the people you're working with as you navigate through the space of life it becomes far more easier and more of a journey rather than daily battles.

I still don't understand why governments aren't making these videos for their populations. Shouldn't they be spending time to make us the populous happier? Wouldn't that solve A LOT of the problems and decrease their roles?

While I do think this video is very well done I think the lessons he is trying to portray can be learned far FAR FAR FAR faster from traveling. The more often you travel to different cultural places the better person you are in a group or community because after all we have to live with each other right?

what gave you that idea?

Oh and Muddy, just cause something makes you happy does not make it selfish. In fact if caring about others makes you happy thats the opposite of selfish.

I believe that happier societies tend to live well together. I'm also assuming the fact that we all have to live together and we each can't have our own unique world with our own unique rules.

With those thoughts can you elaborate on your retort? I'm not understanding.

This is true. Takes me back to what I was saying the other day about the fundamental problem with democracy. Too much stupidity is allowed to prevail. Too much policy built around short-sightedness and fear.

Some kind of modified democracy is needed. I haven't worked out all the details yet but when I do ---> goddamn there is going to be some common sense and happiness out there if it kills every last one of us.
