You really have to look at that graph, like the article said , America is still one of the worlds most prosperous economies but the problem is in politics and taxation.

"Americans with $58,600 in after-tax per capita income, not including capital gains — still make 20 percent more than their counterparts in Canada, 26 percent more than those in Britain and 50 percent more than those in the Netherlands. For these well-off families, the United States still has easily the world’s most prosperous major economy." Even many of the 1 percent like Warren Buffett have called for major tax reform, Buffett wants to pay more of a percentage in taxes than his secretary in taxes lol.

a few tech guys like trey parker is actually getting into Washington politics, saw him give a speech recently. It is a really exciting time in america for tech and the greatest country for entrepreneurs, just get a decent taxation system that benefits everyone

The problem is the democrats have turned their back on labor and economic issues and focus too much on social and racial issues, these "reagan democrats" and blue collar folks are really voting against their own economic interests voting for republicans but the democrats have alienated alot of people with alot of social and racial issues. Get a conservative democrat who actually talks blue collar and middle class economic issues and we could get get some decent tax reform. trickle down economics is not working
