Pitching matchup has 2 quality pitchers in C. J. Wilson and Jeff Niemann! Slight nod to Wilson stat wise it that he has done it over the course of an entire year! Plus Wilson will be motivated to finish strong to get a big ass FA contract! Niemann has pitched well since early year injury issues but not as consistent and in process of still figuring out how to pitch well every game!

Wilson less prone to give up the HR ball and has 3 quality pitches in arsenal in contrast to Niemann's 2! Wilson's index finger is supposedly not an issue! Pitchers faced each other less than a week ago and expect same result in Texas win!

We all know Texas >>> TB hitting wise! The numbers over last 5 games show Texas .301 AVG, .418 OBP, and .538 SLG! For Rays they are .199 AVG, .361 OBP, .358 SLG! Over 10 games Texas .299. .408, .522 while Rays .226, .388, .399! Just for perspective the season numbers are closer with Texas .277, .363, .448 while TB is .243, .349, .401!

Paul Schnieber the umpire tonight has a small strike zone so pitchers will have to throw strikes and I like my chances that Texas will be more productive at hitting them! Might seem surprising them being monster hitters, but Rangers lead AL in fewest strikouts!

Also last tidbit bout hitting and I look at the SS position! Have taken the Rays enough and always feel that they field a NL lineup every night! Reid Brignac, Elliot Johnson, Sean Rodriguez! .197, .195, .216! That's their respective BAs for 2011!

Never know what's in store but the projected lineups is what we like to see in advantage Texas!

Kinsler 2B, Andrus SS, Hamilton LF, Young DH, Beltre 3B, Murphy RF, Napoli C, Moreland 1B, Chavez CF, (Wilson P)

Jennings LF, Upton CF, Longoria DH, Zobrist 2B, Rodriguez 3B, Kotchman 1B, Guyer RF, Lobaton C, Johnson SS (Niemann P)

Just cause Rangers need game more IMO not a real advantage but the team should be focused for sure on getting a W!

Batting averages for last 7 days of each team's hitters 1-9!

Texas: .214, .391, .276, .280, .250, .429, .267, .167, .286

TB: .111, .190, .119, .118, .190, .208, .111, .143, NPA

Probably be the biggest fail of my capping career if this doesn't come through! Possibly TB is due but they got their W last night with lights out Shields pitching for them!
