I have 3 damn dvr's plommer. I can record 2 programs at once and watch a recoding at the same time on a single box. I always thought that a PVR allows you to go back in time to grab shows you missed. Not sure. I love my dvr's. simple to use and set series recordings or recordings days or weeks in advance, but you can't go back in time to grab stuff you may have missed unless of course it is on at a later date.

I have an Ipad3. i love the thing, but I've never really used a droid tablet. I am really happy with my iPad. Battery life is excellent.
 
Yeah Pucky I'm getting the PVR, decided on the Samsung Android tablet because of the glowing reviews and battery life.

And also because my mother already has an Android phone so the learning curve won't be too steep, she's a senior citizen.
