I love Savannah, its like Quebec city or Charleston, european architecture in north america. Great video archie.

My GF grew up in the low country/savannah. Went and visited a few years ago for a wedding. Nice place. Would consider living there. I think there are all sorts of swanky places going up off the river back by SCAD.

But isn't there building going on there, specifically luxury condos? I could be wrong, or maybe I'm mixing that area with a nearby one (the outside "market area" nearby).

Just b/c an area is dangerous or has a high crime element doesn't mean developers aren't building. That's how places change. In Brooklyn we call this process "gentrification." There are plenty of luxury apartments in otherwise dangerous neighborhoods, hell I live in one.

savannah didn't bowl me over, fell short of expectations from how others described it. best part was going to a savannah sand gnats minor league game. bought a sand gnats cap, on the back it said "bite me."

I checked out the Sand Gnats and Charleston River Dogs. I think Charleston did a better job with the promotions/announcing

but I like the sand gnats overall atmosphere better.

I loved just sitting and watching the ships come in and out of the river too

There are apartments, but far from luxury. You might be thinking of outside downtown. We're actually having the worst year for crime. Usually, it's in one area, but it's prevalent downtown. We're not used to that...in recent years anyway.
