I got clobbered on DEN -6.5 -125 2H.

But I'd do it all over again cause that play fit my criteria nicely. Oh well.

So now I know who Bruno Mars is. He seems to have some talent but doesn't always use it in a way that is appealing to Mudcat.

I was impressed with his drumming right at the start but then he went into that car commercial song. I hate that song. I had never heard the whole thing and it is worse than I could have imagined. Useless song.

But then he did a few interesting bits. Not blow me away but interesting.

Then the Chili Peppers came on and the room transformed. It was funny. Suddenly we were all moving and bopping and into it. They sure are getting a lot of mileage out of that song but what the hell - it's good.

And then Bruno Mars came back and did that idiotic string-of-cliches pop song. They had a perfect climax with the Chili Peppers performance and then they do that. It was like a giant Monty Python foot coming out of the sky and squashing everything with a fart sound effect.

Little surprised it was that low, but I was working and didn't get a chance to watch the lines.

Well not really, I had Sea TT OVER 12 1Half - I lost less than $20 on the day.

yeah, I missed the Chili Peppers part. But outside the nice looking costumes Bruno Mars didn't show anything interesting. If this is the kind of shit he usually does why bother?

I was commenting how what he's doing has been done before. And some guy at the party we were at says "what in music hasn't been done before?"
My thought is: I don't know, but I have seen 2 piece cover bands give spectacularly inspired, fresh performances. This was not it.
