I hear some people are playing football at the Beyonce concert on Sunday? Weird.

I'll say this though: I have experienced a definite uptick in calls from 1-800 type numbers in the last couple weeks. Averaging 3-4 a day I would guess.

I can't say for a fact they are all from sportsbooks with Super Bowl promos - because I get a special ring for those calls and I don't answer - and most of the time, they don't leave messages - but it feels like a safe bet. There have been a lot of those kind of emails.

MGM/Mirage not moving their prop lines after max bets... :clueless:

Even gave me an extra $100 on one of them.

Have a Superbowl party to go to. Wonder if I'll be the only degen with money on the game there.

Jim and John Harbaugh post game hug Over 6 seconds at bovada -120

pound it!

you're welcome

Ooh, I'm UNDER on that. Six seconds is a long time.

Don't be hugging me no 6 seconds. :nono:

well there will be a long whisper into the ear from the elder Harbaugh I think.

2-3 sentences

they know the camera is on them. so being uber masculine guys do they just make it a quick man hug or do they play it up for the emotional aspect.

now post game coach pleasantries aren't really a big deal. But Harbaughs have lead the world in interesting post game handshake exhanges

my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE though

The prolonged whisper/embrace is a possibility no doubt. Wouldn't put anything past these maniacs.

Muddy I remember you aren't big on hugs. at least man hugs.....at least potential man hugs during possible meet ups with Gamelive posters.

but do you think you've ever had an embrace with a man lasting longer than 6 secs? not counting clingy kids or during your clingy kids stage...

did you hug your Dad or Grandpa? do you have brothers? close guy friends?

were guys in AA or NA meetings big huggers?

if you had to match all the gamelive women and their hug styles with a type of liquor.....

ok nevermind my Wally imitation is over

Yeah not big on hugging men. When I used to go to AA, there were a few guys who would try to hug me. I became more tolerant of all things - including huggy men - as the years passed, but I would do everything I could with body language to discourage it and if it became apparent it would be an ongoing thing, I would just say something direct like, "I don't want to hug. I am a handshaker, okay?"

In fact that was the #1 main reason I went to AA rather than NA. Hugging is an ingrained part of the culture with NA. Hugs not drugs! It was absolutely intolerable to me to have male after male hugging me when I was, like, 1 day clean so ---> AA. Most guys shake hands at AA.

I have definitely never had a 6 second manhug other than possibly, as you suggest, during some clingy little kid phase. Probably not 2 seconds.

I have a brother and a dad and guy friends and I don't hug any of them. I can't remember if I hugged my dad as a kid. I guess probably.

In summary: back off Ronaiah!

I'll tell you what I haven't noticed as much of as usual though: goofiness over the American Super Bowl commercials.

Maybe it's still going on just the same and it is somehow bypassing me but I wonder, have Americans finally come to their senses about this? It's a bunch of fucking commercials. I have had many opportunities to view them after the fact and, okay, maybe 1 in 10 has a respectable chuckle or whatever. They are probably above average commercials. Not all of them but as a block. But that's basically like saying you have a rash that is slightly less irritating than most rashes.

Ultimately it's always like, "The fuck? People were anticipating this? The fuck is wrong with people?"

Like if someone posts a link here on Monday to where they can all be viewed, I won't look at them. They're a bunch of fucking commercials.

I've heard alot of anticipation and talk about this the past 2 weeks here in Chicago on the Radio during a few long commutes I made

the ads are at a record high of 4 million for a 30 sec spot

One Super Bowl tradition that has not carried over to gamelive is the annual prediction of sportsbook doom by dumbasses.

In my many years around forums, one predictable annual thing is guys saying how a bunch of sportsbooks are going to go under if a certain SB result comes up. It is generally dopes who know just slightly more than nothing (perhaps of Mayan extraction ??) hearing third hand about some minor imbalance in the action and thinking they can seem very inside by making a grand proclamation.

Don't recall this happening at gamelive. Good on ya GL!
