I spent a fair amount of time evaluating the album :dunno:

my current estimation is that it could have been a truly great album. The riffs and all guitar work is outstanding. Hard to believe how much stuff Iommi is able to create. Black Sabbath should have showed that they could transcend time like no one else if:

1. they had Ward work it over with his syncopated, creative, legendary style and

2. even more importantly, wrote some relevant, meaningful lyrics. For fucks sake Geezer you wrote some poignant shit in your 20's. You can't tell me you have nothing but some shallow, tired cliches to soil Tony's masterpiece. common.


nonetheless, I still can't help but wanna listen to it :chair:
