I am now actively cheering for the Miami Heat. I am a Miami Heat fan.

I really hated them at the time Lebron and Bosh signed up - and all the hoopla around that - but it has turned around. They are now my favorite team.

I didn't see it coming but I was checking NBA scores last night and saw that they had won - handily - and I was happy. I had no wager; I simply took joy in the victory for its own sake.

Sometimes things go that way. It is not calculated. Sometimes I will be watching a game with no financial or emotional stake and I will suddenly realize I am cheering for one team over the other. I won't always know why. Something inside me has chosen a side.

I can guess what it's about in this case. At heart I am an anti-bandwagon, anti-fad type of guy and it is so common for people now to hate the Heat, that my subconscious rails against it. I am also anti-stupidity, anti-short-sightedness and I have seen so many people over-reacting and freaking out because the Heat are "only" 7-4 - like OMG Lebron knows he made a HUGE mistake - like OMG they have to get rid of Chris Bosh NOW! - that I need to be against those people.



SO GO HEAT ALL THE WAY!!! (unless I happen to find good bets against them which I'm sure I will at times but still)
 
I would appreciate Muddy your support for the EAGLES too just for the rest of the year. If so I know The Magic Will Happen!!!

Muddy as an avid bike enthusiast do you get into full spandex attire when you decide to go for a ride? I see people around here all the time and it seems like if they are on a bike they dress the part. Well the guys riding into ond out of the hood don't but that's a different type of rider.

There are few things in life less appealing than a guy 30+ lbs overweight wearing spandex riding a bike.

Muddy, speaking of dressing up, if Jenny were to ask you to dress in costume for a night of heated passion would you? How far would you go to please your Jenny Muddy? I'm guessing you would dress as Zoro complete with mask but you probably wouldn't dress as a baby complete with diaper and bottle.

Yankees kind of approach it but no. Duke is not even close.

No spandex for biking here. I have been bombing around on bikes ever since I was a little dirtbag of about 6 and the idea that you need some special attire is totally foreign to me. Just jump on the thing and ride.

I am integrating the helmet idea successfully - I am doing that now as a matter of routine - but I'm pretty sure that's as far as things will go re special biking gear.

The question of how far I would go with sexual costume play is a difficult one. With Jenny's personality, she would never request anything outrageous. But okay, that's not the question. Suppose she did.

Zorro would be no problem. Any of the caped superheros would be acceptable. Various BDSM garb? Sure I guess I would try it out if requested. I don't think I could take the situation seriously so that might detract from the experience for the sort of person who would request that, but sure, I'll try it on.

Baby in diapers? You're right - I wouldn't go there.
 
No basket. Until recently I just toted things in a bag. I wasn't actually a one-handed biker because I would have the bag hanging from one hand which was on a bike handle if you know what I mean.

But then over the summer, my girlfriend influenced me to get a backback.
