Thanks for asking. Spent the Holiday in Port Aransis. Toured the country side from Austin to Bryan to San Antonio. Will probably land somewhere in between SA and Austin...perhaps 20 miles away from Austin somewhere off of 35. I like the idea of being closer to SA, the airport was a breeze but I am sure I didn't get a good feel for what it would be like to commute into Austin on 35. There are some opportunities in College Station as well but I really like the real estate in SA.

i know these places of which you speak. you do not, repeat NOT, want to spend any part of your life commuting between sa and austin on i-35. let me know where you do land and i'll catch up with you. also can tell you about parts of b-cs, being the proud fightin' texas aggie that i am.
