That was a interesting 30/30. Fans can blame him but they choked. The choke job in 1984 may have been worse, 1969 was really bad also. If either of those teams made the World Series, the Bartman deal wouldn't be as bad.
 
You know the thing that gets me is the media, how ridiculous they are, and they make it sound like they are supposed to act like this. Yeah I understand you should show a replay, but you don't have to show 500 replays and over state the significance of everything.

Interesting that the show had a lot of referencing of Bill Buckner etc.. I actually remember watching the 86 ws, I hated the Mets and was a fan of Buckner. I remember the announcer saying right away how although Buckner had a great career the ground ball is what he'd be remembered for.
No, thats not right. This is only so because you good for nothings harp on it and make it so.

If he made that play on any other team but Boston or the Cubs, it wouldn't have been nearly as big a deal. The Boston fans never forgave Buckner until they won a title. I bet the same thing happens to Bartman. Loved Buckner in Chicago, he was very classy after that WS error.
